Privacy policy
This page explains what personal information we collect, why, and the choices you have. We have tried to write it in plain words.
Who we are
What we collect
- Text message consent: if you tick a text message box, we keep a record of it, including the time, the wording you were shown, your phone number and basic technical details such as your IP address and browser.
- Website data: the pages you visit, the type of device and browser you use, and your approximate location, collected by analytics tools and cookies.
How we use it
- To answer your request, give you a quote, schedule the work and carry it out.
- To send the text messages you agreed to receive.
- To keep records of our conversations and work.
- To protect this website and our business from spam, fraud and abuse.
- To understand how the website is used and make it better.
- To meet legal requirements.
Text messages (SMS)
When you check the SMS consent box on a form on this website, California First Carpet Cleaning uses the mobile number you give us to send you the text messages you agreed to receive: replies to service requests and appointment reminders.
If you also check the separate, optional marketing box, we may send you occasional offers and seasonal reminders.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to cancel at any time. For help you can also contact us at (844) 966-2005. Consent is not a condition of purchase. The full SMS program terms are in our Terms of Service.
Analytics, measurement and security
This website uses Google Analytics, a measurement service of Google LLC. It records the pages you view and how you use them, an approximate location worked out from your IP address, and the type of device and browser you use, and it sets its own cookies to tell visits apart. We use this to count visits and improve the website. This information is not sold. Learn how Google uses this data, and your choices, at https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/.
When you send a form, Google Analytics can also detect the email address, phone number and street address you typed and send them to Google in hashed form (turned into a code that does not show the original text), so that Google can measure which visits lead to a request.
This website also uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a measurement service by Cloudflare, Inc. that counts page views and loading times without cookies and without following you across other websites.
This website counts a few anonymous interactions, such as taps on the phone number, clicks on buttons and starting or sending a form, together with the page where they happen. Our website platform, LunOS, keeps these counts without cookies and without your name, phone number or email, and they are used only to understand which pages help visitors reach us.
If you reach this website from an online ad, the page address can include an ad click identifier (such as gclid, wbraid or gbraid). When you send a form, that identifier is sent with it so we can tell which ads bring requests. It does not identify you by name.
To block spam, our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile, a security check by Cloudflare, Inc. that reads technical information about your browser and device. It does not use advertising cookies.
We do not sell personal information
Who we share it with
We share information with service providers who help us run the business, such as our website and form provider, our phone and text message providers, and the tools we use to schedule work and keep records. They may use the information only to provide those services to us, except as described in the analytics section above.
We may also share information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or this website from fraud or abuse.
Cookies, maps and reviews
This website may use cookies and similar tools to measure traffic and keep the site working. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the website may then work less well.
Some pages of this website show a map from Google Maps, a service of Google LLC. The map loads from Google, which may set its own cookies and receive your IP address. On this website the map loads only when you choose to open it. The review quotes on this website come from our Google listing.
How long we keep it
Your choices and California rights
If you live in California, you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and ask us to stop texting you. We will not treat you differently for asking.
To make a request, call (844) 966-2005 or use the request form and say it is a privacy request. We may need to confirm who you are first.
